Website Design

As a multimedia reporter, one of the ways I’ve been able to tell stories is through designing and (sometimes) coding websites. I am proficient in WordPress, as my MediabyMilbourne website (aka the website you’re on right now) is powered through the CMS. I also have extensive experience with Google Sites, Adobe and Squarespace.

Continuous Journey, LLC

Continuous Journey, LLC is a private practice owned by my mother. They offer therapy, assessments and other psychological services. The entire site is made to be easily read. I designed the website through Squarespace for clients to access information about the practice, log in to SimplePractice and contact practitioners directly. By using a blue color scheme, remaking the logo, and applying the Lexend font, I created a user-friendly UX design that is easy to navigate for neurodivergents.

Storyteller

Storyteller is a class project I wrote on Phoenix Code. With the help of my digital design professor (Dr. Amanda Bright) and friend (Marley Hinrichs), Storyteller was born. I have very basic HTML and CSS skills that I employed in this site, including the use of text, photos and videos. The site also implements a fully functioning navigation bar and responsive header image. I was able to cover Athens’ annual International Street Festival for this, which I used as the pops of color on a bland background.
